Raising Funds
Although in the past the Griff Fund was used to support individuals, now it is used to keep the cost of Breakout tickets down for everyone.
If you are looking for funding it might be useful to contact your district grants officer (contact details should be available in your local directory). As Breakout supports the ongoing youthwork at a local level, it is possible that there may be district or circuit funds available to support youth work which could be accessed.
Many groups raise their own funds with the support of their friends, families and churches to go towards the cost of Breakout.
Some ideas:
- Sponsored events
- Stay silent
- Run, walk, climb a mountain
- Stay awake for 24 hours
- Fast for 24 hours
- Sell tickets to an event
- Talent show
- Quiz night
- Sports match
- Car wash
- Promise auction
- Jumble sale/cake sale
- Gift day at church/church sponsors a number of children to attend
